Pak Slamet Riyadi is our partner on Recycling Program since 2001, he was part of the 16 finalist, selected from 2,111 candidates from across the country. Pak Slamet’s small business named Lumintu abbreviation of ‘Lumayan Itung-Itung Nunggu Tutupnya Umur’ or ‘earn additional incomes in the golden days’. Since 1998 specializing in using rejected waste factory materials and turned into them glossy, posh and fancy looks accessories such as women bags, mattress, stuff container etc.
Danamon Award aims to identify and honor those members of society who strive towards improving the welfare of others. The award welcomes entry from all individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations who play this enabling role, in line with Bank Danamon’s vision: “We care and enable millions to prosper”. To be eligible for the award, programs or activities held by these individuals or institutions must produce measurable direct enabling impact on its target groups or communities. In addition, programs or activities must be continuous, and have at least have been conducted for one year. Danamon Award 2007 program is held in cooperation with Kelompok Tempo Media, the publishers of Majalah Tempo and Koran Tempo, SwissContact, Dunamis Organization Services and LIPI. Indonesian Institute of Sciences (Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia/LIPI).
