Waste to Energy Facility Homes in Dubai

Dubai built the worlds largest waste to energy plant. The waste to energy plant uses 2 million metric tons of trash annually to produce 200mw of electricity, enough to power approximately 135,000 homes.

There are over 2,700 waste-to-energy plants operating worldwide, with the capacity to dispose of roughly 530 million tons of waste annually. More than 80% of these plants are located in developed nations.
Nearly 500 waste-to-energy plants are situated in Europe.
